Import your IMDb watchlist
IMDb is where a lot of people keep the "I'll watch this eventually" pile. Exporting it takes a minute and gives you a real tracker on top of the same list — including airing dates, which IMDb won't remind you about.
Export from IMDb
- Open IMDb on a desktop browser and sign in. The export links aren't available in the mobile apps.
- Go to Your Watchlist or Your Ratings.
- Use Export and download the
.csv.
Import into TV Tracker
- Sign in on the web app or on your phone.
- Go to Settings → Import data.
- Choose IMDb, or leave Auto-detect on.
- Upload the CSV, then review the matches and Import selected.
Titles only — no episode history. An IMDb CSV doesn't record which episodes you've seen, so shows arrive at zero progress. Ticking a finished season is a single tap, so catching up is quick, but it isn't automatic and we'd rather say that before you import than after.

Coming from somewhere with fuller history? A Trakt export keeps per-episode progress, and you can import both files — the second one fills gaps rather than duplicating entries.
Common questions
Will it match titles correctly?
Mostly. Titles are matched against TMDB, and anything ambiguous — remakes and same-name series are the usual suspects — goes into a needs review group where you pick the right one. Nothing is written to your library until you confirm.
Can I import a filtered IMDb list?
Yes. Any IMDb CSV export works, including a custom list, so exporting just the part you want is a reasonable way to avoid importing a decade of films you've lost interest in.
